The objective of the game is to eliminate marbles by making jumps, as in Checkers. The very best result for the puzzle is to finish with a single marble in the center location. This puzzle is also known as 'Marble Solitaire' 'Peg Solitaire' or simply as 'Solitaire'. The origin of the game is unknown, but it has been popular in Europe since the 1700's.
